>> GOM Media Player Control Panel
The GOM Media Player Control Panel offers more advanced and precise playback controls than those that are available on the Main Window. The Control Panel is divided into 4 tabs: Video, Audio, Subtitle, and Control.
Video Tab

- This tab offers controls that are related to the image of the video you’re currently watching.

- 1. Brightness Slider
- This slider lets you make adjustments to the brightness of the playback image. Click the “RESET” button to revert back to the default brightness settings.

- 2. Contrast Slider
- This slider lets you make adjustments to the contrast of the playback image. Click the “RESET” button to revert back to the default contrast settings.

- 3. Saturation Slider
- This slider lets you make adjustments to the saturation of the playback image. Click the “RESET” button to revert back to the default saturation settings.

- 4. Pan & Scan Button
- Click this button to cycle through the available Pan & Scan settings.

- 5. Screen Capture Button
- This button will take a screen shot and save it to the screen capture directory (default is C:\ …\Documents\GomPlayer\Capture)

- 6. Advanced Capture Button
- This button will open the Advanced Screen Capture window. Read more about this feature on the Features and Functions section of this guide.

Audio Tab

- This tab gives you access to the audio equalizer, as well as both Master and Wave volume controls.

- Click the “ON” button to enable the equalizer. After the equalizer is enabled, you can either choose a preset or make manual adjustments to the individual frequency levels. Push the “SAVE” button to save a custom preset, the “DEL” button to delete the currently selected preset, and the “RESET” button to set all of the sliders back to their default position.

- The MASTER and WAVE volume sliders function separately of one another, and separately of the main volume slider on the GOM Media Player Main Window. Use these three sliders to make very precise adjustments to the playback volume level.

- WAVE refers to Windows system volume (System volume is referred to as WAVE on Windows XP and lower).

- Master control will control the master volume on Windows XP and lower only.

Subtitle Tab

- These controls will have no effect on subtitles that are embedded directly on to video tracks. They will only work with subtitle tracks that are separate from the video track (like external subtitle files such as .SRT, or subtitle tracks contained within MKV, ASF, and other such container formats).

- These controls will have no effect during DVD playback.

- 1. Size Slider

- This slider lets you make adjustments to the font size of the subtitle track. Click the “RESET” button to revert back to the default font size.

- 2. Y Slider

- This slider lets you make adjustments to position of the subtitles along the Y (up/down) axis. Click the “RESET” button to revert back to the default Y position.

- 3. X Slider

- This slider lets you make adjustments to position of the subtitles along the X (left/right) axis. Click the “RESET” button to revert back to the default X position.

- 4. Back 0.5 seconds Button

- This button will cause the subtitle track to be displayed 0.5 seconds earlier. Pushing this button multiple times will continue moving the subtitle track back in 0.5 second increments.

- 5. Fwd 0.5 seconds Button

- This button will cause the subtitle track to be displayed 0.5 seconds later. Pushing this button multiple times will continue moving the subtitle track forward in 0.5 second increments.

- 6. Next Language Button

- If you’re viewing a file that has subtitle data available in several languages, you can click this button to cycle through the available language options.

Control Tab

- This tab lets you control time jump, playback speed, and use the A-B Repeat feature.

- 1. Time Jump Buttons

- These buttons allow you to move forward and backward along the timeline of the file that is currently playing. By default the [<] and [>] will skip forward or backwards by 10 seconds, while the [<<] and [>>] will skip forward or backward by 60 seconds.

- 2. Playback Speed Buttons

- These buttons let you adjust the playback speed of the file that is currently playing. The [Slow] button will reduce the speed by 0.1x (to a maximum of 0.2x play speed, or 1/5 play speed), the [Fast] button will increase the speed by 0.1x (to a maximum of 4.0x play speed), and the [Default] button will reset the speed to 1.0x.

- 3. A-B Repeat

- From here you can control the A-B Repeat function which lets you play a selected segment of video in an endless loop. Click the [Start] button to set the starting point and the [End] button to set the ending point. Clicking the [Undo] button will remove both the starting point and ending point.
