Playback Speed
GOM Media Player gives you the ability to control the playback speed of your video and audio files. You can adjust the speed to be as fast as 4.0x or as slow as 0.1x.
Playback speed can be controlled from the GOM Menu (right-click the playback area) or by using keyboard shortcuts.

-
- - Speed – Normal
- Set playback speed to default. Keyboard Shortcut: [Z]
-
- - Speed – Down
- Decrease playback speed by 0.1x – Keyboard Shortcut: [X]
-
- - Speed – Up
- Increase playback speed by 0.1x – Keyboard Shortcut: [C]
-
- - Maintain Play Speed
- This option will make speed adjustments carry over to the next file. For example, if you’re watching a video at 2.0x speed, then next video you open will also start playing at 2.0x speed instead of the default 1.0x speed.
-
- - Use Voice Adjustment
- This effect will allow you to increase the playback speed without altering the pitch of the audio track.
