>> Custom Shortcuts: Keyboard

To create custom keyboard shortcuts, you need to go to the Keyboard Tab of the Preferences window.

GOM Media Player General Preferences - Keyboard Tab
You can add and modify custom shortcuts from here.
In order to explain in detail, we’ll create an example keyboard shortcut.
For our example, we’re going to create a keyboard shortcut that will allow us to skip to the next file on the playlist.

1. Click the [Add] Button.

Clicking the [Add] button will cause this window to pop up.

Next we need to search for the command we want to create a shortcut for by clicking on the pop-menu next to “Command”. This will bring up a list of all the commands GOM Media Player understands.

2. Input desired shortcut keys.
To input the desired shortcut, simply click the box next to “Shortcut keys” and type them. For this “PLAYLIST_Next file” shortcut, we’re going to use [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [->].

The empty pop-men to the right of the area where we inputted our desired command is used to assign keys that can’t be typed directly into the “Shortcut keys” box ([Enter], [Space], [Esc], [Tab], [Backspace]).

3. Click [OK] to finish creating the keyboard shortcut.

The [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [->] shortcut now shows up in the User-defined shortcut list and can be used as soon as you close the Preferences window.

Clicking the [Open] button will open the folder that contains the “CustomKey.ini” file in which all user-defined shortcut keys are stored. Note that new settings are not saved to the CustomKey.ini file until you quit out of GOM Media Player (likewise, if this is the first time any custom keys are being created, the CustomKey.ini file won’t be created until you quit out of GOM Media Player). If you select a shortcut from the User-defined list, you can click the [Delete] button to remove the shortcut key, or the [Modify] button to change the shortcut’s command or input keys.
